Agree that it may be lipedema (fat distribution as compared to lymphedema which is just fluid). Mucinex would only have minimal effects if any.

You actually can do liposuction on the cankle area- but google for plastic surgeons who specialize. And before anyone again recommends 'body acceptance' etc, that's an option as well, but liposuction is the same treatment for other inherited imbalanced body fat distributions such as saddlebags- when all other parts of the body are proportionate.

I feel your pain. I am thin and they appear so heavy on my small frame. I feel so limited in what I can wear. At least in the colder months I can wear boots with dresses or skirts. I got them from my dad's side and it's my most hated part of my body. I don't think there's anything that can be done, although I would feel better generally if I was more toned.

I just avoid wearing shoes and socks with shorts. Sandals are better. There’s really nothing you can do but accept it.

For me it’s my arms.

I’m incredibly fit. Former college athlete. Worked out 6 days per week- weights/cardio/HIIT/Pilates/Solidcore, etc. my entire life but it’s genetic.

They are big. I can get biceps and triceps but they never are cut and with age there is more loose skin… no matter how much I lift.

I have low body fat. Everything is sleeveless in summer and formal gowns and workout tops, yuck.

The help you need is acceptance. There is nothing you can do about an immutable body part. Wear shoes that are comfortable, maybe try shooties or booties that go up a little higher?
