. for two days, visit western Ireland--Edinburgh and area deserves more than two days. I assume if you went to Edinburgh, you would fly and in and ou of airports always cuts iinto the travel.

FWIW. Edinburgh is one of my favorite cites in the world--and I've visited a lot of them. For Ireland, I preferred Western Ireland to Dublin.

Galway and Donegal are worth visiting. Falcarragh beach is like being in North East Africa

Do you only have 4 days total?

Or you will have 4 days in Dublin and then you will add on the additional 2 days in Edinburgh or Killarney, so a total of 6 days?

If it’s Western Ireland, check out Parknasilla Resort in Sneem.

Definitely head west to Galway/ring of Kerry.

Yes to Western Ireland, and agree with PP that you don’t need four days in Dublin. Add them to the western Ireland portion of your stay.

Personally I’d do two days in Dublin and then two days in Edinburgh. Two days is a good amount to spend in each of the cities and see all of the highlights. If you prefer to stay in one location and maybe do a day trip and really take your time, exploring, just stick to Dublin, and do some organized tours. But, I prefer to do highlights a lot of the time so going to two locations would be preferable for me

This. Edinburgh/Scotland are beautiful and worth their own 3+ days. I’d do Western Ireland on this trip, which is also stunning. I agree Dingle is a good option. You could also do Galway with a detour to either the Aran Islands or Cliffs of Moher.

Reading comprehension. The question is “Should we do A or B?” Answering “yes” is not helpful.

Yes. Also you won’t need 4 days in Dublin. You could take some day trips from there.

Heading to Dublin in early June with dh for 4 days and we are trying to decide between going to Western Ireland (Killarney maybe?) or to Edinburgh for two days. Would love input.
