Locally I go to great harvest bread in Burke but idk that it’s worth a trip for you. Maybe if you’re around here anyway for something you could try it.

I don’t even know what Levain is tho lol so maybe you don’t want my recs

I like the Black Forest loaf from Heidelberg Bakery, the baguette from Arrow Wine, and the Mountain bread from the Publix bakery.

Where do you buy fresh baked bread that is excellent? I'm in Fairfax city.

I had a levain from a bakery in upstate NY recently and OMG. Somuch better than anything I've had here.
