My kids are still in ES so I don’t know what ELA offerings there are beyond. But at my HS, some of my favorite classes were Irish literature, science fiction, and European literature. So if MCPS is unwilling or unable to offer accelerated ELA in MS, and anything other than AP for HS, maybe focus on developing the love of letters instead with rich course offerings.
4th grade CES is much more challenging than MS English
This. MS Advanced English is just regular English. It is a terrible class at our MS.
At our school, it's genuinely advanced. They've raised expectations for everyone which has helped many achieve new highs previously that were unattainable.
Which middle school is this?

For middle school, since the magnet eastern is too far away many chose not to send their kids there. So everyone gets to take advanced english in 6th grade. And so it continues like that. Most students take honors English 9 and 10, then AP lang in junior year and AP lit in senior year. So what was the point of providing elc, ces at elementary level when those opportunities are no longer available in middle and high schools unless you go to magnet schools and we all know that most ces kids do not go to magnet middle or magnet high school. I guess what I am trying to understand is that, by enriching the child in elementary school snd then having them take the regular path is’nt that pointless? Because a string reader will be a strong reader with or without ces and enrichment. It seems like a letdown looking at middle school and beyond after ces. Any thoughts?

High schools do offer English electives, but they don't take the place of the required English 9 and 10, which are typically Honors-for-all classes these days.
