I understood it to be that that all girls and boys bathrooms would now be open to either gender? It's not just single use or 2-staff with doors. It's the entire bathroom facility right? That sounds like a situation ripe for abuse and problems. Schools are already having problems with kids in bathrooms (drug overdose, sexual assault for example). Seems like this will only increase the problems.

I would prefer 11 million spent on education or counseling than on toilets.

Amazing that we are spending all this money and effort on something because of a fringe group.

You sound like my sister OP. She moved to a red state and put her kids in religious school because stuff like this gives her the vapors.

My DD would not mind this a bit. The doors on the stalls are too small and the cracks so large people can see through them. She uses the single person unisex bathrooms whenever she possibly can.

They should make each stall totally private and then remove the door to the bathroom itself to help prevent vaping and sex in the bathrooms. As it is, our HS locks all but 1-2 bathrooms during class times. She has to wonder around the whole school trying to find the unlocked bathroom.

Thanks to jerks who vape and skip class. This is why we can't have nice things. It has nothing to do with transgender.

They are considering converting or adding multi stall bathrooms with dividers floor to ceiling for unisex use. It has not been decided and is just one many options they are considering.
