I wouldn’t worry about grandparents with the 80s college movies, I’d worry your own teens will probably find them offensive.

Most of those movies are very much non PC now; lots of racial stereotyping, homophobic language, etc.

Orange County (crude but hilarious) and Admissions but that might drive a senior crazy

I wonder if Revenge of the Nerds is dated.

10 Things I Hate About You is also about a college bound senior.

And if Animal House is too hairy, Revenge of the Nerds has to be out too.

Also consider:

Accepted
Flatliners
School Daze
The Paper Chase

Ladybird and Booksmart are about college-bound high school seniors and both are good movies (although whether your teen wants to watch the latter with the grandparents will depend on your own family dynamics)

Animal House is harmless by modern standards. Old School is hysterically funny, but there you do have to legit worry if its too raunchy for the elders. If you want a good drama, The Paper Chase (law school) is actually really well done but somewhat forgotten now.

Watch Rudy & Animal House then ask your kids whether they prefer Notre Dame or Dartmouth.

Whenever grandparents come into town or we go to visit them (both sets live far away), we watch several movies over the 1-2 weeklong stay. Since I've got a rising senior, I though it would be fun to watch college-themed movies over this next year.

Over the years, we have already watched:
Pitch Perfect
Monsters University
The Man Who Knew Infinity
The Waterboy
Rudy

I was thinking that we should watch:
Revenge of the Nerds
The Social Network
Drumline
Legally Blonde
Good Will Hunting

I think we might need to avoid (not sure the grandparents are up for it):
Animal House
22 Jump Street

Any other suggestions for us to add to our list?
