Is this still a collaborative trip? Blair is going this coming week - no mention of Poolesville.

Also a Poolesville SMCS parent. This was the email that was sent out:
We received word this morning that Blair will not be able to team up with us this year for the Lake Needwood field trip. We were really looking forward to providing our students the opportunity to collaborate with their peers at our partner school, especially after so many years of not being able to!
The trip is designed specifically for the two schools to work together. Logistically, it is impossible for us to run the trip without the other school, staff and materials present. Speaking with the business office here at PHS, refunds will be issued in the near future. We are very sorry for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused. Please feel free to email me directly (zachary_s_kingman@mcpsmd.org) if you have an questions or concerns (though I'd like to be more helpful regarding business matters, refunds, etc., they are beyond my access or control, of course).

OP here. Late May? Our cancelled field trip with Blair students use to be scheduled for May 4. Inter3ting that they haven’t announced a cancellation at Blair!

My kid is in the 9th grade at Blair SMCS. He told me that they are going to Needwood in late May and that was always the plan. He has not said anything about it being canceled.

I get that you're curious, but if the trip has been cancelled, why does it matter?
Blair may have discovered a conflict and backed out before they even announced it to the kids. Or maybe that kid was just clueless about the calendar, absent the day they talked about it, whatever. It's still cancelled.

What grade are we talking about? Is that Blair student in the same grade as your kid?
OP here. Sorry about that, my child is in 9th grade and it’s a9th grade field trip to Needwood. The Blair student is also in 9th grade.
