But…the whole 15 year old girl with an old man isn’t exactly cozy.

That's very Lolita.

I took a writing class with Julia Crouch and I have to say she is absolutely charming and very talented.

Julia Crouch is a big cozy crime fiction writer. In fact I think she made up the term "cozy" in an interview, early on in her career. Worth a look, all UK based and likely with UK narrators if gone to audio.

Deanna Raybourn books. She has a couple different series.
Ashley Gardner/Jennifer Ashley (narrator of her Captain Lacy books is amazing and her Below Stairs series is wonderful)
Diane Freeman (Countess Harleigh series is more towards cozy)
Ashley Weaver (she also has a couple series)

For what it’s worth, Maisie Dobbs isn’t cozy, so I’m going to assume you don’t want cozy. Cozy is usually a town setting with an unexceptional main character (shop owner, baker, etc…no aristocrats), no on page violence, and usually no steam.

Oddly specific, I know, but I'd love your recommendations for cozy mystery series with a British narrator (audiobooks). I recently binged the Maisie Dobbs series with Orlagh Cassidy narrating and she's SO good. I also love MC Beaton - especially Hamish MacBeth and Agatha Raisin. Started the Elizabeth Peters/Amelia Peabody series but the sound quality and narrator - at least of the first book - is only so-so.

TIA!
