Whatever doctor ordered the Mammo will have a more detailed written report. Mine uploaded it into my portal. It’s not likely to provide too much more detail but might ease your mind.

They call back every time I get a mammogram. I swear they do it it to make money. Nothing is every found. Good luck!

I've had 3 or 4 mammograms at this point. Called back once, panicked; it was nothing. It will be okay, OP. As others have said, callbacks are common.

My very first mammogram ever I ended up with a callback, ultrasound then biopsy. Nothing bad.

I’ve since had another callback. Also nothing bad.

My sister has had three. Two biopsies. Never anything bad.

THese are common.

Just chiming in to say how common it is - also, it is pretty common to get a biopsy. I freaked out when it happened, then found out here how common it is.

It is extremely common to get a callback.

I had something like it happen and everything was fine. In my case I had the screening mammography done at Bay Radiology (which is in Annapolis, but worth the trip for this aspect). The radiologist is on-site and they do any needed follow-up, up to and including biopsy, on the same day.

I honestly would not get another mammogram for a few years, except for this setup.

Fingers crossed; it is very likely of no consequence. But you shouldn’t have to go through this waiting game if you don’t have to.

I was called back once. I also have a family history so I was a bit spooked. It turned out to be two cysts.

It just means they have bad images. Don't worry, OP.

If they're not insisting you come back tomorrow odds are in your favor. They want to cover their butts and ensure they get every little thing scanned just incase.

I feel like it’s almost more unusual to not get a callback!

Hugs, and everything is most likely fine ❤️

My sister went through this and was fine. The tech didn’t get good pictures.

I got called back for a mammogram rescreen. I’m 43 and this was my third mammogram, no family history or breast issues so this came as a shock and I’m trying not to freak out. Haven’t told friends or family other than my spouse because I dont want them to worry unless there’s a reason for them to.

Received minimal info on reason for callback, just that radiologist wants to get a closer look at one breast. Sounded like the person who called was reading off a script, and I couldn’t get further details. Who knows whether further details would be reassuring or not. They can’t schedule me to come back until two weeks from now.

I called back to ask if they could fit me in sooner but haven’t heard back.

How do I make it through the next two weeks? I am all in my head with worst case scenarios.
