When someone is murdered and if the crime is yet unsolved, there is ALWAYS a cop at the funeral. More likely plain clothes but uniformed also in some cases. Police can be dumb but this isn’t rocket science cops have known for centuries that some murderers tend to enjoy the opportunity to wallow in the fallout of their handiwork.
