My magnet kid was surprised at the workload.

Mine was happy to have taken it in the summer, despite the sheer volume of fairly simple assignments. Happy not to have wasted an entire excruciating semester on it.

It's an entire semester in 3 weeks. What did your "magnet" kid expect?

He'd taken two other summer classes before and the volume of assignments was surprising in comparison.

It said noon, and it's listed at the top of the Registration page, but not on the dropdown menu for registrations. Help?

They don't appear to have launched it on time... surprise, surprise.

I would not recommend it for an ADHD kid. It is a ton of work. Would be a bad way to start of HS.

It is a lot of busy work. There are assignments due frequently, and the important thing is to keep up and complete them. You can go from A to D quickly if you miss assignments.

My DD took it last summer between 9th and 10th grade and it was a TON of work. She is a huge procrastinator but managed to pull an A by the end, despite being warned she was on the cusp of failing a few times. It's boring I think more than anything, its not analytical it's just regurgitation.

We plan to do it this summer.

If your teen took this class, what was it like? My rising 9th grade DC has ADHD and a learning disability. They are thinking of taking Health A online this summer to free up space for Resource or an easy elective during the year. Is this a good strategy? What are the schedule and workload like?
