If it were me, I would reimagine cooking like PP until I could afford what I wanted. Getting a cheap temporary one seems like more hassle and cost overall.
Do you have a rice cooker, instant pot, air fryer, electric griddle, or anything like that? Could a friend lend you something? Countertop Induction single cooktops are pretty cheap and wouldn’t be a bad thing to have around in general.

Scratch and dent (American freight) or Facebook marketplace.
Or, just reimagine your cooking and you can do a lot with an oven, grill, and microwave.

This happened to me a couple of years ago, I just posted on that thread about the AirBnB visitor who was getting blamed for it. We used unaffected burners for about a week but that made the crack bigger.

You can afford a stove. Go to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore and there will be one for a couple hundred bucks, you can use it safely while you save for the one you want.

It's too big a crack to repair but our budget will not allow a new stove right now.

Have read online that it might be a fire hazard. Can this be true? Or might we be able to use one burner far from the crack for two or three weeks?
