It is "live" as data is processed.
There may be a validation step in the workflow - but it is not a set time.

Not especially. I suppose it means that the number of people who jumped ahead of you is equal to the number of people who were accepted or left the list.

Usually you only go the wrong way before May 1st when siblings enroll. Occasionally you may move one or two if people just decline their waitlist spots for some reason (e.g., enroll in private school). Schools don't typically move the waitlist at all before May 1st unless there was some error (e.g., they meant to list spots and didn't).

Has anyone seen much waitlist movement these days? Or does it mostly happen May 1 and onwards? (Newbie to the lottery, applying for K).
