They might be feeling pressure to go into labor or face a medical induction that they don’t want. Or being having a last tough month. Can we be compassionate?

Op, more info would be helpful.

There is nothing wrong with a medical induction. So what if they have to do that.

Hey, I’m casting no judgment on that scenario. Just putting out the possibility that it could be a factor up. OP hasn’t said why they’re trying to get labor started.

Apart from being overdue or medical issue that doctor would have already addressed, there is no reason to go into labor if baby isn’t ready.

Agree. It can be comforting to folks having an idea of what can help once they are in early labor. Which still won’t matter if it’s not time. But ok to ask about.

Something relaxing, like a pedicure could be nice too. Anything that helps your body relax. Pampering

Induction massage - I went into labor the day after mine. I also recognize it could have been a coincidence! Either way, it’s an hour in which you can relax and take time for yourself.

I don’t really get the difference between red raspberry leaf tea and pitocin. You’re using (or trying) to use both as medication.

Get a massage. It doesn’t need to be an “induction” massage. Have acupuncture again too. It’s not a one time thing, ask for cupping if you can.

Are you past your due date? By how much?

+1. Breaking my membranes helped me to start with my first two and I’ll ask again for my third. I believe they will only do this after you reach 39 weeks and you need to be 1 cm dilated at least.

The doctor breaking my water really helped, and I believe they used a natural metal hook.
