Subject: Are Buddhists socially conservative or liberal?
What sorts of social issues? I can see some Buddhists being anti-abortion (though many are also pro-choice), but certainly not pro-gun rights or pro-death penalty.

I'm looking into the Washington DC Buddhist Vihara. I'm fairly socially conservative though. What positions would they take on social issues? (I know Buddhism is very large and diverse, but I wonder if there are any socially conservative Buddhists in the West)
