Our daughter is enrolled at TOTH and I highly recommend it. The teachers are great!

The other schools that have a good reputation and heard great things about are District Montessori and Capitol Hill Preschool.

I would also stay away from schools that do not have their teachers bio on the website. We have personally had a traumatizing experience with one of the schools that holds themselves out as outstanding and is very expensive but that have a very turnover rate and lacks transparency.

My child has done both the toddler and Primary (preschool age) classroom at ToTH Montessori in Navy Yard and would definitely recommend.

To the poster who recommended Little Scholars -- I haven't been able to find any information online about them. Do you know where I can find more information?

NP here who also liked Little Scholars (though our experience was 5 years ago)

On their website? Have you really not been able to find anything?

Ms Francis’ CHCNS is fantastic. Such a good introduction to school for a pre preschooler.

Bright Horizons at the Harbor is great. Hard to get into though without fed government preference. But not impossible

Join the Moms on the Hill (MOTH) listserv. You'll get better information there.

Our son has attended Gan Shalom in Capitol Hill this past year, and our whole family loves it! It’s historically a co-op, but it has two full-time teachers per class and a full-time director. So, the parent co-op load is minimal, but it enhances the experience. The teachers are caring and wonderful.

I did a search of past threads, and couldn't find very much in the way of actual experiences with the preschools/daycare options on Capitol Hill. We would love to hear about actual experiences with the various preschool/daycare options on Capitol Hill. Our child is a toddler.
