I think pp was saying that having both a full size convection oven and an air fryer is similar to having both a full size conventional oven and an a toaster oven in that, in both cases, the smaller appliance is redundant, but still useful.

I use mine primarily to roast veggies while my oven is baking the entree at a different temperature.

I only have 1 oven but I suppose it wouldn't be necessary if you have multiple ovens.
