Anyone have a school not accept the preference for a half-sibling? Or because of shared custody?

Each LEA has their own definition of sibling.
Here is the DCPS definition of sibling: "Sibling: A child who has at least one parent or legal guardian in common with a current DCPS student
and resides in the same household as the student. (5-E DCMR § 2199.2"
From their Enrollment Policy Handbook:

This is correct, but may need to be submitted on the same lottery application. I don’t recall how you list siblings. A call to My School DC would give you that info quickly and accurately.

They don't have to be! They just have to be entered as siblings when you do the lottery application -- that is, each individual application asks for siblings and their schools and you have to list them. School may ask you questions in a complicated scenario, but same father is not complicated.

Two brothers, shared father, shared custody.
Anyone have a school not accept the preference for a half-sibling? Or because of shared custody?
