I'm new to this thread. And I'm not a JR parent.

But you're MISSING THE ENTIRE POINT. The point is not that a trash bag is offensive. The point is that leaving it there shows an administration that isn't taking pride of ownership in their campus.

Conversely, I wouldn't be happy if a fellow student said to my daughter "suck my d***" (not as a command but like "shut up, go away.") But I'm way more upset if a responsible adult right there heard it and did nothing about it.

If OP is upset about the trash bag, then OP can do something about it (for example, find a dumpster to put it in, haul it to the curb, call 311). Complaining on DCUM does not count as doing something about it.

On the other hand, if OP is upset that Jackson Reid administrators are not taking pride of ownership in their campus by removing a trash bag that's in Fort Reno Park (?) across the street from their campus, then... well, I really don't know what then.

If it is across the street, then it is on National Park Service property and not the JR campus.

please don't move the bag. you have zero clue what is inside and you could be injured.

Report the bag as "suspicious package" to 311.

Or you could email the principal. He is on top of the custodians to constantly pick up all litter and trash inside the school

I guess, but don't know of any easily accessible dumpsters around there... except for a construction dumpster a block away... but they usually don't want people taking up space in their dumpster.

Across the street from that dumpster, on a bench outside the tennis courts, there has been a sleeping bag full of junk just sitting there for weeks. I could throw that in the dumpster as well I guess.

Yes you could. Or you could come here and complain and check a box thinking you have improved the situation. There are dumpsters and trash receptacles in the driveway of the school, in Deals driveway as well, behind Whole Foods, by Dominos… the list is endless.
