I don't even understand why kids even want to. I truly don't understand it. I made it through my teens years without drinking just fine.

Trust, but verify. ALWAYS. Don’t be “too busy”.

We verified by calling the parents who said they would supervise. Turned out that they were actually supplying kids with alcohol.

Look up the Duggar’s schedules for their teens. Follow that.

No unsupervised hangouts. Movies & and walking around the mall on a Friday night with mom & dad.

Oh they're going to love that . . .

Trying to be your child’s friend?
They need actual parents with the guts to say no.

How many drinks do you believe your 19 year old daughter might be able to handle before she’s an easy target for date rape?

It’s bizarre to me. I have an 8th grader. No way are they going to any of these. Nothing good can come of them

It will be less bizarre when your kid is 17 or 18, accepted to college, has friends that you've known for years and wants to go to a grad party or an after prom party with them with plans to stay over (no driving). You might even grow to trust the young adult that you raised before you send them off to college.

Parents don’t know. That’s how my kid went to their first party with alcohol.
