I would eliminate Washington U -- because it's in St. Louis.

Vanderbilt seems to lilt more prepster and conservative.

Northwestern seems more diverse, with a prime location.

Seems like only WashU in top ten, not Vanderbilt nor Northwestern

No, it's has an amazing engineering and CS school.

All are excellent schools. I'd go with best fit, if finances are not an issue

All roughly equal prestige. Vanderbilt good weather good city, WashU fine weather fine city, Northwestern great city awful weather.
