Just make sure they have no pesticides.

You can candy them by coating in eggwhite and dipping in sugar. You don't have to. You can also make violet syrup by steeping them in boiling water and adding sugar to make a simple syrup. The fun thing about the syrup is that if you add it to lemonade it will change from violet to pink.

I have a lot of violets blooming in my yard right now. My daughter wants to pick them and bake something and put the violets on it.

Any suggestions?

Also, am I supposed to coat them in sugar?
