A holiday does not have to be a "holy" day. I would love to see one for atheists that's similar to MLK or Juneteenth, where the lead up is knowledge and education, fun learning, maybe a fest of all the gods that are mythical. God is real but Thor is just a myth?

So don’t celebrate them. We that do believe, enjoy holidays. I know people who don’t believe that still enjoy holidays. If you want to isolate yourself from tradition, society, and culture, that’s your choice.

Because it’s a fun tradition to celebrate holidays. We know atheists are allergic to fun.

I think of Thanksgiving, New Year’s, Memorial Day and Labor Day as my holidays. I am also partial to the equinoxes and the solstices. I like Tau Day, makes more sense than Pi day, although Pi day is more fun (I birthed a mathematician).
