I come from a company that hires from anywhere. We assess competency in the interview processs which includes a fairly rigorous technical exercise. We have one Liberty grad at our company; he’s pretty normal, smart, and respectful. And he has no issues using the right pronouns for our nonbinary colleague (they graduated from MIT and have nothing but respect and professionalism for the liberty grad too). Y’all are exhausting.

University of phoenix. The resumes are usually terrible too, so it's not the only factor.

Pronouns annoy me too, but I think there is a place for them if someone has an androgynous name. I appreciate knowing if Kelly, Cory, or even Drew is a he or she so that I can use the proper form of address (Ms.or Mr.) It is also helpful for names not derived from English language to know the pronouns of the person you are addressing.

But a bigger detraction is that I probably wouldn’t hire someone who put their pronouns on their resume. And I’m not talked about gender neutral pronouns like they/them, I’m also talking about even if a women put she/her/hers or a man put he/him/his. I’m liberal, but I would assume that employee may be potentially difficult.

Unless a degree comes from a bogus curriculum/short-term/ no-name school I would like to believe people did the best they could for themselves when choosing a program. I would assume there were extenuating factors at play (job, time, geographical or financial) rather than write off someone from the start because they got a degree from an online program. IMO, there are bigger questions. Can they do the job? Can they learn reasonably quickly or easily? Are they available how and when the company needs? Do they even want this position?

And if they're way past graduation the school shouldn't really compare against their experience since then.
