Subject: If I get the offer.. then what?
I just got a job offer and need to resign my old company next week.
I just realized I have not resigned a job since 2006. Last three jobs I was laid off.
Feels kinda weird to voluntarily resign with no severance and drama. I rather get laid off with a fat check.

Surprised they even told you that much.
Feedback is unlikely if you don’t get the job.
Always negotiate.
Ask them when they will need a final decision from you.

If you felt the offer was decent, did you negotiate anyway? Is it wrong to just sign on the dotted line?
How much time did you take before giving your final answer?

Sometimes someone didn’t vote for you but it doesn’t mean they don’t like you. People might offer this information but you wouldn’t ask. It would be super weird. Working with teams is something you’ll build over time.
