I began my journey purchasing a Viking range and hood at ABW Arlington VA in October 2024. It was a technical refresh of the exact same model, 25 years newer. Same size, weight, dimensions, etc. It should not have been a tough job. I WAS WRONG!
ABW out-sources their installation; I had to have two installers come to my house (taking off work Nov 11 and 18)...the first said "couldn't be done" and the second figured it out after a lot of telephone calls back to someone (ABW or installation company, I'm not sure). The contract stated "A site Pre-Inspection is an optional service that is a $50," but we were still required two visits and charged.
The installation FINALLY occurred on Dec 9.
Oh, wait, there's more! The showroom added items to our contract "just in case we needed them" and told us we could take it back if it was not used. January 14, 2025 we began elevating our issues with ABW to refund the money spent on parts that were not used.
By January 2025 the oven door hinges stopped holding the door closed; the warranty office had to send someone out to confirm the issue (Jan 22) and then repair the issue (Feb 17)...two more days for me out of the office.
To this day, we continue to disagree on the contract item called "BACKSPLASH" ABW charged us to install but we already had a backsplash on the wall. ABW claims the $101 charged was to install the "Viking 24" high shelf for
36" range. Stainless Steel." FOUR BOLTS cost $25.25 per bolt?!
I would not recommend ABW to my enemies!
