My husband does this.

I deal with it by creating a leftovers/going-bad-soon section in our fridge where all these bits and stuff go.

Then when packing lunches I try to incorporate as much as possible from the leftover section. But also the daily lunch packing gives me a reason to review the leftover section to throw out anything that has taken a turn for the worse.

My MIL does thus, but she only eats a few bites of food at a tumr. I've seen her eat 2 tablespoons of rice for lunch. We save everything when she's visiting.

Generally, I don't bother saving something that's not enough food for a person with a normal appetite. I cannot make a meal out of a scrap of pizza, 3 chips and 2 green beans.

My husband. He’s a hoarder. It’s stressful. I can’t receive guests unless they really love us.

+1 Ate an awkward half slice of pizza for dinner last night when I didn’t really want anything but also didn’t want to wake up with a miserable low blood sugar headache.

I have teen age boys. They would just finish up all those things. I am on top of the fridge so nothing gets left to rot but if there were 2 chips we would not keep them.

And i end up combining them or cimulative grab n go for my lunches, snacks on the go, small snack pre-dinner, or whatever.

We rarely let food good to waste.

Yes. I hand them a zip loc and tell them to put it into the freezer. If we use it, good. If not, we'll just toss the baggies later. They have a deep feeling against "waste" probably caused by their childhood. I don't fight it. Just try not to inconvenience me too much.

On the plus side, we have used a few of these freezer items.

Does anyone in your life insist on wrapping up tiny amounts of leftovers and storing them in the fridge where they are forgotten and rot?

For example, half a piece of cornbread, bagging up maybe 3-4 berries that didn’t get eaten from a bag, half a banana, barely three or four tortillas from nachos, a quarter piece of pizza?
