I was going to ask, are the chartered planes crummy? I’m assuming these aren’t new Gulfstreams.


The only time I have been on one it was very nice. And the convenience of not having to go through security or through the airport is amazing. You park outside the building, a guy comes out to help you with your bags, and then you get onto the plane.

Lol your friends are insanely rich.

It’s a few million for the plane alone. Then hundreds of thousands annual for fuel, maintenance, crew, insurance, hanger fees, etc,

Oh hell no. Too many possible issues with private pilates and planes. No thank you. I'd rather fly Spirit and that says a lot.

My ILs went in on a private jet with another family. My nephew is a pilot.

However, they are NOT UMC. They’re worth at least $7M.

They are probably dead-heading. English people I knew when I lived in Dubai did this pretty regularly. Dead-head to London for the weekend with another family or 2. It ended up being about 1000 per person each way. Of course, the problem then became getting back to Dubai.

Isn’t 20 people on a chartered plane a bit unrealistic? And implies you’re slicing up the cost / 20. I find that hard to believe.

How does it work when they go to Mexico? Does the jet and crew stay there for the families for the week or a totally different plane and crew takes them back?

I find this incredibly hard to believe but we know two separate groups of UMC families who did this for spring break trips and that was their claim. And of course some subtle private jet photos ended up on their social media. These folks are not multi-millionaires nor are they in c-suite roles where this could make be covered by the corp.
