The one in PA was populated almost entirely with people I can only describe as Jersey Shore. I loved it because I felt like Jane Goodall but not everyone would enjoy it as much.

We went once to the one in VA and I'll never go back. I don't really like water parks to begin with, but even my DD thought this was kind of gross. Water was cold, not all the slides were working, the resort itself really isn't that nice for what you're paying. The wand thing is fun for a little bit, but definitely not worth the cost of staying there. I think we're just spoiled by Disney and Universal and to me, I just wouldn't put the $$ toward GWL. If you're looking for a one overnight stay near Williamsburg I'd say maybe, but definitely wouldn't make a trip just for this. Some people really like it though and go back time and after time.

That might be about the only place I never took my kids. I don't know; there's something about an indoor water park that skeeves me out. And then I remember hearing rumors about one of the locations having bed bugs and that just fed into my already iffy feelings about the place.

We just went in February and our 4yo has asked to go back every single day since. Kids are 4 and 2 and they had the time of their LIVES

Occasional sales / discounts are offered on Groupon that will save you pretty good bucks.
Kids under ten will enjoy, especially the magic wand adventure where you solve puzzles though out the hotel hallways that have electronic contraptions that talk to you when you wave your wand. Fun for kids in evening before going to bed.

Its fun for the kids. 1 night is fine. Staying longer mean spending more time on other activities which all cost extra. Do not expect luxury...just fun for the kids.

Years ago, on our way to Ohio, I put “Starbucks” into the Garmin and it brought us to a Great Wolf Lodge. Never heard of the place. We went in with our 4 year old DD, walked around, grabbed some coffee!, and promised her we will do a trip just to this place next vacation time. We went to the one in the Poconos, Niagara Falls, Ohio and Massachusetts. She grew out of it and the pandemic came. Nice memories and a good example of serendipity.

There has been flyers and groupon deals for great wolf lodge, anyone has been there? We live in montogmery county, so the closest ones are probably PA or MD or williamsburg. Fun for vacation or not ? To me, it seems like a nice getaway, but I wonder if it is fun or boring for 2 days 1 night or 3 days 2 nights.
