230 and doing nothing - definitely for real. It all depends on where you are at the SEC. Some divisions and offices you’d work all week for that 230, some you work not at all.

two days a pay period. also clarified in the new bargaining agreement is that a day counts as "in office" as long as more than 50% of your hours are actually in the office. so you could make a few meetings, go home before rush hour, and finish out the day remote.

I suspect the 230k SEC guy works at least 6 hours a week, even if its just reading email. But now i'm sad I only make 210k and actually work all week. OTOH, glad I'm not worried about layoffs like meta/amazon/google folks.

so awkward. folks trying to shake hands and go to lunch together. look, i have a toddler. even if i don't have covid, you don't want what is circulating in daycare. also i get a lot less work done. but whatever. it's two days a fortnight.
