Principal seems like he's trying hard to manage all the craziness of HS in this era, teachers are accessible and engaged. And socially, my slightly offbeat kid enjoyed school and found a diverse, interesting, offbeat group of friends. I was especially impressed with the nonstop flow of information about college admissions that began during my kid's junior year. It felt like there was a different Zoom training or info session every day.
As a PP pointed out, the academic counseling was worthless - for our first kid, we didn't have any clue about the best way to navigate the curriculum. But again, I assume that's the case for any public HS in this area since counselors are responsible for hundreds of kids.

Academic counseling. What is that?
