What is this training and how much is it costing the county? Class sizes are unmanageable, yet we have the resources to pay for all staff to attend this mandatory training??? Why not use these resources for more teachers?
So lucky! I did that last year. It was amazing.
How did you find it helpful to your MS students? Did you change what you were doing as a teacher, as a result of the training?
There's no way that "so lucky" poster is for real. Especially without giving a reason why.

It can work at the elementary level. But once the kids hit grade 5 and up LiM starts to fall apart and gets nothing but apathy from students and staff. To the poster above, Leader in Me was a $1.8 million $ budget item passed by the BoE. My strong impression is that it is from care act funding not local taxes. I too dread the training. The thought of teaching LiM gave me anxiety all year since they just through it into my homeroom where all these initiatives go to die.
Where does it go in HS, when there's no daily homeroom? Our school has 2 study hall periods a week where kids can meet with teachers to catch up - are those being given up?
Does your HS not have an advisory period? Once a week or so?
