She is actually very good at communication compared to what we've had previously and has been working hard to fix problems following a year of absolutely rediculous tik tok trends and disruption. I personally feel like she works hard to both support teachers and parents. The kids have been sharing the video from the incident at Annandale which is NOT helping. This type of social media content gets their attention. I am confident that the threats were investigated and followed up on, and any additional concerns are being addressed. What exactly were you looking for in an email from the school? The email sent was short and to the point. No fake promises and feel good words that don't mean anything.

I continue to receive phone calls of concerns regarding a potential threat to the school. Earlier this week, I shared that our administration and School Resource Officer (SRO) received a report that several students on a school bus thought they heard someone say they were bringing a gun to school on Friday. After a thorough investigation, it was determined that a student did bring a cap gun, or toy gun, onto a bus earlier this week. No one was threatened and there is no threat to the school community involving this situation.
We are proceeding under normal operations today and out of an abundance of caution will have an increased level of police and school security presence throughout the day.
If you have any additional specific information, please reach out to our office, the FCPS Office of Safety and Security through the safety tip line that you can access anonymously online, by text or by phone.
Please also remind your students that anytime they see or hear something that makes them feel unsafe at school, they should speak to a trusted adult first.
Thank you for your partnership.

Are you serious?
Some kids bravely told a trusted adult about a gun, turns out someone had a cap gun. No one knows if they're related and you think a kid hyped it up?
This is why no one goes to adults.
We still need a principal who can handle the school
