Similar and I feel for you. Lately I've struggled to get up to speed on a new assignment. A team member came in to help me at my desk and it was confusing.They did fine explaining things but my brain almost has a lag in comprehension. Everyone is supportive but I get in the car to drive home and the waterworks start!

Sure; in my office with the door closed; in my car; never in the bathroom stall. Never in front of a boss; I've been raging pissed in front of a boss (in my early 30s).

Once when hormonal and sleep deprived and frustrating where people could see me. It was horrible and the coworker who set me off tried to be nice and it just made it worse.

Yes, earlier this week someone accused me of something I didn't do and I cried while I was on the call with my boss (fortunately it was just a call, no video, and I was just very quiet. I don't think she knew I was crying, but she may have suspected it). Fortunately my boss is very supportive and had my back, but I was still quite distraught.

I have cried at work so much. Once when I quit a job where I had built the team and the us biz basically - I left bc it was such a toxic leadership environment but I loved my team and on my last day I sobbed (to my then boss who was the last person you want to cry to ever). So many times before that and since I cried too but I work in high stress scenarios at all times

I’ve cried at work twice- once I got really upsetting news over the phone about a family member and happened to be at work.

Once I had a colleague with mental health issues who targeted me as the object of his attention and then anger/blame. I cried to my supervisor who helped be a buffer. I was legitimately scared but he was fired a month later.

Once, when I found out my pet died.

Otherwise when I felt like crying I would bottle it up, go to a depressing bar, and drink my sorrows away.

Writing the witness statement for a pro Bono asylum client. She has been through a lot.

When bored, i would log into Facebook and catch some tearjerker short video on my feed. I think they were usually about pets and babies being saved. I'd be at my desk, eyes all red, sniffling. Totally embarrassing.

Yes. Frustration. In front of my awesome boss.

Yes but not in person or in front of others there. Cried once in a bathroom and twice over Teams calls.

My daughter had a rare disease and sometimes when someone would come over to my cube and ask about her I wouldn’t be able to help myself. It was so embarrassing. She is fine now.
