I don’t think the shampoo is going to matter much. Just get something mild.

It sounds like you’re having a lot of hairloss and regrowth. I would check in with your doctor about it and make sure there’s not something they can adjust to help. Maybe they can at least give you a preview of when it’s likely to get better.

If you need your hair to look great for personal or professional reasons, a great wig or topper could be perfect. There are places specializing in medical hair loss that can help you find something that looks great. It’s not cheap but you may be able to hook up with a nonprofit.

If it's wavy then don't brush it. Maybe get a trim so the ends are better.

Get a brush with natural bristles and over time your own natural oils get into the bristles which can be used to tame it. Or put a very small amount of coconut oil to tame it. Usually volumizing shampoos work better. Anything with conditioner is overly greasy can weigh down fine hair. You could try Johnson's baby shampoo even though it's for babies. Alberto VO5 used to be good for my hair which is fine.

I rarely blow dry it. I thought I need to condition the ends but I think that's adding to the fly a aways. When I do brush it gets frizzier not smoother but I will try coconut oil that you for the tips.

My hair is a total nightmare made worse by medical problems I'm having. It's very thin, falling out and what's left is dry fizzy ends, thin hair at top like you can see my scalp, and fly away baby hairs at the temple and underneath the back (like if I try to pull it up in a bun). I look like the crazy professor. What drugstore or inexpensive shampoo can help with this? I don't even know where to start. Thank you for reading and trying to help me.
