If taking a class for grade improvement, does it replace the semester grade? Is one grade earned for the class, replacing both of the student's quarter grades?

Talk to the counselor, but you are looking for grade improvement, not "repeat for credit"

So I can see the theory behind a year class that is suppose to be broken up between early highschool and late highschool. The implementation/curriculum/and delivery…. Well not sure that has been done well.

It’s one of those classes where repetition is important. Not for learning the basics of the content but applying it when important. ImThink of it like a public health campaign For instance it’s one thing to talk about sex, drugs and alcohol in 7/8th grade. That just gives you background info. It’s another thing toreinforce those concepts with different data/depth at 17/18 in 11th/12th grade when the situations are likely to be more applicable in their life. Another example, dating violence isn’t as relevant to 6-8th graders, but much more relevant 10-12th.
