I didn't know if she was just saying that so we would disregard the school (she wants to stay where she is). Having friends for the first time is so important. We haven't gotten there yet....
There are some 9th grade specific classes, but otherwise all the grades are mixed. But it's definitely less rigorous than other schools. That is appropriate for my child, but obviously isn't appropriate for everyone. We supplement in areas of strength, but that's easier than supporting in areas of challenge, which we've done at previous schools.

We are looking closely at Parkmont and Nora, but our kid has pretty serious disengagement and is sometimes disruptive (interrupting, calling out, attention seeking behaviors). We are sure if a school that isn’t special ed can deal with all of that.

Parkmont HS parent, we are happy with the program, adm and teachers. DC wished for a bigger school but recognizes that they provide the support that each student needs.

If you have a HS kid at any of these schools with an ASD/ADHD and LD diagnosis, can you post your experience? We are thinking of visiting but we are really on the fence about whether they can meet our kids needs.
