Subject: Frost wins Science Bowl
Come on, Blair lost to Centennial this year on science bowl. Do you consider Blair SMACS is weaker than Centennial HS? Check out the mathcounts state qualifier rank, you'll know the quality of this year's TPMS students. We are just low-key and don't want to brag.

This current 8th was I think one of only two years that were chosen by the most competitive admissions process MCPS has ever used. It was a universal selection year meaning every kid was considered, there was the full Cogat, and the students were ranked. The other class that went through this is now in 9th. 6th and 7th were lottery.

Actually, the admission criteria for the current 8th graders was upgraded from a previously corrupt system.
