You don’t want to start up that argument again. LOL You can check the other threads but, for now, yes, many are still remote. It is likely to change to hybrid. Just super slow and with a lot of anger involved.

FinReg 14 salaries go much higher than GS-15 unless you’re in a special pay rate, plus the value of the benefits.

I went from a GS 15-Step 8 to 14 6 years ago. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I make more than my colleagues that are now SES. There were over 200 that applied for my position, there is a good reason.

I went from a 14 to a 13 to come to a FinReg and I’d do it again. They aren’t as grade conscious because MANY people take demotions to come here, but there is a sharp decide between the upper and middle management and below.

The benefits are so much better, too. My dental is so much better now and less expensive, and I get an extra 5% into a second retirement (I’m at FDIC). Plus we get $1K for telework expenses. It’s like another world. The earning potential is much higher here.

Financially, finreg 14 will have more room for growth. But work life balance depends on the agency and division, there are more and less demanding 15s.

generally, the finreg 14, since it is also non-supervisory. also many of the finregs will pay out raises over the salary cap as a bonus.

which one is better? non-supervisory GS15 has less salary.
Thanks
