Worry about what, exactly? Serious question. That they will go to hell? That they won’t be able to live a life of integrity and purpose? I really want to understand what you think the consequences will be if your religion isn’t part of their lives.

Kids are going to do what they want. My mom left the church as a young adult. I was raised with no religion at all until I joined a student group in college and discovered what I had been missing my entire life. Now my kids go to church with me but they'll eventually make their own choices too. There's no use in forcing it, they have to come to it on their own.

I did not baptized my kids after reading a science article that the baptism water can contain brain parasites 🧠. Baptism is child abuse imo

+1 same. You have to let your ADULT kids decide for THEIR kids.

My kids are now teens, but when they were younger, I made them go to church. As older teens, I'm not going to make them do that because they are old enough to decide for themselves.

You should ask yourself why your adult children left the church. You should consider their values -- are they so different from yours, really? Are they good people, teaching their kids to be honest, kind, compassionate, etc.? Do you trust that you did a good job raising them?


Yup-this says it all. I have amazing kids who are thoughtful and caring-they accept people for who they are and treat everyone with kindness and guess what we don't go to church. I know GASP away. My parents shoved religion down my throat and I could see the darkness of organized religion of it even as a young child. I stopped going at 17 and have zero regrets.

You had your chance to raise your children, now they are raising their own.

What drove me away from religion is the idea that "if you don't believe what I do, you will go to hell". I just couldn't get this idea of Heaven as a reward for obedience, and hell as punishment, to mesh with the loving God everyone was preaching about. I also couldn't imagine a loving God would sentence say, every Hindu in India, to hell.

Any clearly your kids rejected your teachings so maybe when they understood that the Church ie religion that you have shoved down their throats is the root of evil they want no part of it?

Does anyone worry that their young grandkids are not baptized and taught in the church? Do you read bible stories to them? Baptize?
