The direction they're trying to go is generally an "exit strategy" in x number of years. That might mean they want to get the company to a point where they can sell it for more, or they might want to acquire more companies to combine with the company and sell the combined company for more than the sum of its parts. Or, if the company has profitable divisions, they might want to sell off pieces of it.

Look at the Proxy, see what committees they are on, read about their backgrounds, look at how many times a year they meet with management. You’ll probably make decks for these meetings (or your team will). Also, look at shareholder proposals in the Proxy. Is there anything directly related to your work? Obviously look at the Annual Report/wrap (if they have one) and 10-K.

Again, these things generally do not exist for PE-owned companies.

I work in a leadership role in PE owned companies and we don't have these. It's generally pretty hard to get information on PE owned companies since they aren't public companies.

OP--yes, it is through a recruiter. The interview is next week, but trying to get ahead of the curve before I speak to her again.

03:40. Not a public company.

Research the company, understand the direction they’re trying to go. With a. PE firm, it’s going to be squeezing every single $$$ out if it as you can. You’ll have to understand that.

Interviewing for a finance position that will report to the CFO. It is a PE owned company and they want me to also meet two board members. Had expected to interview with the CEO and that would be it. Have never interviewed with board members. Can talk with them about expectations, but asking for ideas about how to prep.
