It’s not just jazz but blues, world music, folk, even rock - concerts are concurrent in the evening so you’ll find something you like. Go everyday if you’re a music lover.
Visit Parc Drapeau and La Ronde amusement park on a weekend day when International fireworks festival is being held and see the fireworks at night.
If you like seeing grand old Victorian houses, rent a city bike and visit Westmount or Outremont.
And the usual more touristy attractions Musee be Beaux Arts, Biodome.

If your family is outdoorsy, spend a couple of days at Mont Tremblant (an hour from Mtl in the mountains). It's beautiful and awesome.

I've never been to Montreal, but I love Quebec City! Ride the ferry and funicular, walk around Old Town, and try as many macarons as you can.

I recently asked how many days and 4 was the general response. Some only did two days. 14 seems lengthy for what there is to explore apparently.

That will be lovely. Parc Mont Real will be great to visit. Keep in mind that it may be Canada Day and/or the Montreal Jazz Fest while you are there. You may wish to attend related events or else plan around that.

I am attending a conference in Montreal in early July. We are planning to stay and make it our family vacation. We plan to spend a few days in Quebec too. I have not been to Montreal since I was a kid. We usually follow Rick Steve’s as our go to but he doesn’t do Canada. Has anyone been more recently and what are the things you recommend we see in Montreal and Quebec? Any other day trips/side trips. We will be there a total of 14 days. Thanks!
