That would require rejecting more qualified girls than boys, which doesn't stop right with most adcoms. No one seems to be complaining about these ratios (misogynist much?) so there's no reason to change anything.

I think but can’t verify right now that Bates may also have reduced the percentage of the class admitted through ED. I had told my daughter not to bother applying to either if not ED. Bates will be back on the table now. I think this is a positive change.
