Generally speaking for all schools then, one needs to be above 75% for merit aid?

Like everything else, seems to be a crap shoot. My high stats CS kid did get merit aid at UMd, RIT, and RPI. Even with a big scholarship RIT and RPI are still super expensive.

And at CW being above 75% does not even get you admitted on EA so can't say on that one.

What do you mean? Was your DC deferred?

4.8 WGA at MCPS magnet, 4.0 UW, SAT 1580, good ECs. 10 APs, all 5s.

Got $40K in 2022.

DC was admitted EA with a University Scholarship worth $38, 500/year. Stats are UW 4.0, W 4.6, full load of IB and AP courses, four years in PLTW engineering classes, IB diploma candidate, and pretty good ECs and internships.

Yea, their stupid interviews that filled up.

DD '20 got 25K for a 33 ACT, 3.95 UW, all of the STEM APs that her HS offered, including BC Calc and AP Physics C (for biology), average ECs (varsity sports, summer jobs, volunteering)
DS '22 got 40K for a 35 ACT, 4.0 UW, all of the same STEM APs at the same HS (for Engineering), average ECs (similar to sister)
Tuition did go up in the in-between years

Will let you know if a few weeks, but expecting waitlist perhaps due to yield protection.

Rough stats: 4.7 WGA, 4.0 UW, ACT 35

Might help if you visit to demonstrate interest. No idea.

Friend's son got in RD with similar stats after getting rejected ED at an Ivy. Very happy @ Case.

^^believe he got some merit, but IDK how much.

I'm hoping people will share if their kids received merit aid from Case Western and what their stats/ECs looked like. We have a junior and are trying to gauge what could be reasonably expected as we are working on a college list.

Thanks!
