^^PP here. When we were in Acadia National Park last year, there were several places that rented bikes, including electric bikes that were allowed in the park! I would TOTALLY take my new-rider there. Acadia has 45 miles of roads that are fabulous. We took our own bikes, again, and while there were some hills, none were all that hard to bike up (although I did huff/puff). If you have an electric bike, it's super easy.

Most ski towns have a wide variety of bike trails from mountain biking to rail trails. I love Sun Valley in the summer. Park City has the National Ability Center, which could be of interest for you SN kid.

Look for areas with Rails to Trails. We found some very nice trails over on the Eastern Shore. One area is Cape Henlopen with a trail system that would be fairly safe for children of all abilities. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Kent Island and you can get on another trail right from it that from what I remember is pretty much all trails except perhaps at the very end. You can easily walk to several crab and fish restaurants and take in beautiful views of all the sailing boats in season.

Want to find a family friendly luxury type resort to go to for the weekend where a family of six can all rent bikes and bike around. Youngest child is 8 and has SN and just learned to ride a bike recently so not looking for any mountain biking, etc - but just a place to relax and enjoy outdoors and biking.
