^^PP here. When we were in Acadia National Park last year, there were several places that rented bikes, including electric bikes that were allowed in the park! I would TOTALLY take my new-rider there. Acadia has 45 miles of roads that are fabulous. We took our own bikes, again, and while there were some hills, none were all that hard to bike up (although I did huff/puff). If you have an electric bike, it's super easy.
