Does British School of Washington still have rolling admissions?

On occasion Primary Day has had spots

Flint Hill used to have rolling admissions.

They no longer state rolling admissions per se, but they do take applications after their deadline on an ongoing basis, to review if they have space. You could call (probably after the 3/17 decision deadline—they won’t know numbers yet) to see if they have space in the grade you are considering.

Most schools have info on a 2nd round/late application/post-deadline process somewhere on their website. Sidwell even says they have a "late application process," where they will consider applicants in April or May. I imagine that's pretty standard.

But I don't think OP is asking about that. Rolling admissions implies a school doesn't have set deadlines, but more reviews applications as they come in based on fit. The only schools I could find that mentioned a process like that were Madeira and Georgetown Prep for boarding students. OP, is that something you'd consider?

No way concord hill has space. It’s a small school and they get a lot of applications.

What grade?

Try Grace in Kensington or Washington Waldorf in Bethesda.

Are you at a K-8 and waitlisted for 9th grade? If so, they should be jumping through hoops to help you figure out which of the waitlists are real and how to get your kid off *one* of them. You need to be prepared to accept a spot immediately if offered.

Or if your kid is applying for 6th grade, sometimes K-8s have unexpected middle school openings if more students join their siblings at a K-12.

If your kid is younger than 6th grade, I think you work the waitlists as best you can, go to public next year and then try again.

Grade and location are vital here

Where do you live and what grade? What are you looking for in a school?
