It really varies from year to year based on sibling numbers and is roughly as likely as getting into SWS (which is similarly dependent on sibling numbers). I'm not trying to be mean, but it's a major screw up if it's OP's first choice and there is zero explanation for listing SWS and not Maury.

Insane you didn't list Maury at all. Yes, people do get in without siblings to PK3! It's not common but it's about as likely as getting into SWS without a sibling (maybe more likely, I'd have to look at the numbers).

Also, ranking it gets you on the waitlist and if your master number is pretty good, between that and IB means that you would be in good position over the summer or even early in the school year if a family moves or decides to go private or whatever.

You are getting into Appletree (OK) for darn sure and you are exceedingly likely to match at Miner and JOW, and so nothing below those matters. Based on that your list confuses me. It is too late to do anything about it, but why would you have included schools that are beneath guarantees and omitted Maury as #1? Sure, it is unlikely for non-sibs to get in, but why not at least try? Water under the bridge I guess.

If your #is good enough to get into CHML then it will be good enough to get you into Miner. SWS is a crap shoot. If your # is good you get in. You said commute matters so you might want to explore when JOW's rehab starts. If it is 24-25 your PK4 commute may not be great and that might inform reordering your choices.

My prediction is you end up at either SWS (if you have good luck), Miner/JOW (with lousy luck) and Payne/Tyler (medium luck).

Payne & Tyler Spanish historically require way more than medium luck. Some chance Tyler is different this year with the whole school transitioning to dual language… but if those kids are treated as IB for Payne (this isn’t clear to me for ECE), Payne will be literally impossible.

You care about commute & you listed Burroughs but not… Maury??? What on earth??? You have multiple functional guarantees but not the IB you say you want to go to??? So confused.

OP, entirely dependent on where you lotteried.

Agree with PP you will not get into Maury unless you literally win the lottery with a super good number. Just assume this won't happen, put it out of your mind. Tell yourself over and over "we won't do Maury until K" and remind yourself that having Maury as your IB is a huge and wonderful advantage that you simply won't be able to use for a couple years.

As for whether you will get in elsewhere, it depends on where you lotteried. If you just did Maury, Brent, L-T, SWS, CHMS, TR... odds are good you won't get in anywhere. As with Maury, those other schools require you to win the lottery. Most people don't with the lottery. Assume you didn't, and then if it happens you can be pleasantly surprised.

If you including Appletree, JOW, Miner, even Wheatley up in Trinidad, then odds are good you will get in somewhere.

Since you are guaranteed a spot at Maury in K, I sincerely hope you actually put some of these much more accessible schools on your list if free PK is important to you. If you didn't, please don't come here to complain about it when you don't get a spot anywhere because it will have been your own fault.

You are definitely not getting in to Maury pre-K 3 without a sibling. Depends on which schools for the rest of your question. Brent, Ludlow, Peabody, no. Miner and JO maybe, can’t remember re Payne and Tyler. If you Google you can find the lottery data from the last few years. SWS is very hard without a sibling, Capitol Hill Montessori easier as is Two Rivers and Apple Tree. Unfortunately you can’t add schools at this point, just rerank them.
