I remember getting the first edition of Thomas & Finney in HS Calc. I think it was from 1940. The following year we used the 8th edition. It was 100x better.
My son is in algebra honors. I ordered the McGraw-Hill book and use Khan Academy. Wish I had done this at the beginning of the year but will do it for each year going forward. The only textbooks I’ve seen are for AP classes.
The Algebra I “textbook” in the MathSpace tool is pretty good. It’s comprehensive and things are well-explained. It can’t be printed out, though. Other than that, our MS isn’t using any textbooks. The math teacher gives handouts and worksheets.
