On our Wyngate Facebook group it was a post about new preschool/childcare in Bethesda (across of Balduccis plaza) on Old Georgetown Road at the Wildwood Baptist church office building - Green Tree preschool. They mentioned after-school for Wyngate and Ashburton schools. I believe, the website is www.creative-learning-school.com.

Also, after-school childcare is very difficult to find! Where are your kids going after school, which is 3.30-4 pm? and we have to work?

Most preschools are already full for next year btw. You might get lucky and find a spot but usually you apply for the following academic year in late fall.

This is especially true for the outdoor-based schools, which are very popular.

So unless you're looking for the 24-25 year, you probably aren't going to have the luxury of being picky.

Agree with the two noted above. If you can’t get into those, try Temple Sinai Nursery School, even if you’re not Jewish. They have a wooded playground and spend a fair amount of time out there rain or shine. Not as much as the true nature schools, but it’s a good middle ground.

Thank you, yes, will look to enroll for the next year. My child really needs and likes outdoor time. It helps him a lot to sleep, eat, positive mood. I am surprised to learn that most of the preschools here have 30 min outdoor time for the whole day. We used to 2-3 hours every day, in any weather (even rain). The school just asked for appropriate clothes/jackets etc......

These are preschools so they ge really don’t take kids throughout the year. You should ask about whether you can apply for next year. Or maybe you are saying next school year’s slots are all filled up?

We just moved to Bethesda. My son went to a Nature-based preschool before and he loves to play outdoors even on weekends.
We visited a few "best" preschools in Bethesda and outdoor time is very limited.
I don't want to list how many benefits outdoor preschools provide for kids, I am positive is very obvious. Any nature-based preschools in the area?
