March into school and take to the principal? Dramatic much? It sounds like OP reached out to those who completed the form. Give them a few days to respond. Then email again and give it a day or 2. Then on 3rd attempt I might email with 3rd attempt and CC principal. It is not age appropriate behavior to match in and expect a principal to meet with you on demand. It's entitled and rude.

Honestly, at 13, I’d say age appropriate behavior would be being able to explain to you exactly why the teachers think he doesn’t display age appropriate behavior.

Being totally clueless or uncooperative about this would not be typical.

Our son, diagnosed woth ADHS in 7th grade, was not sitting still in class and listening to teachers. Medication made a world of difference in every aspect of his life.

But there's no way to answer your question about your child until you hear back from the school.

This is almost impossible without knowing your son. If I had to guess though, I would imagine a kid who is distracted, interrupting, making immature jokes or doing immature things (physically pestering kids or disrupting class with ‘silliness’) to get attention in a way that doesn’t resonate with peers, makes it hard for rest of class to focus.

For my nephew, who is on the spectrum, it was saying inappropriate or ‘weird’ (to other kids) things - just really not reading social cues are able to engage with peers in a typical way.

Typical behaviors at this age? Sitting and listening to teacher, knowing when it’s okay to mess around with friends and when it’s not,
